The Halo circuits the Dhauladhars and goes through two passes in the Dhauladhar Range - Minkiani Pass (4250m) and Jalsu Pass (3600m). The top of Minkiani pass is unique as there is Kareri Lake to the South and Nag Dal (lake) to the North. These two lakes are holy and pilgrims brave the elements to visit these lakes once a year. The Nag Dal location has seven minor lakes around it as well. This is a rare opportunity to see natural wonders that have remained hidden until recently.

The trail from the Minkiani pass ends at Drakund, a small but important village famous for its fruit. Drakund also has a waterfall next to which a forest rest house has been built. The way back through the East Dhauladhars, Jalsu Pass, is striking. Lower hills, more forest and ready access to water, this is an opportunity to feel content and one with nature.
